Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
This update on his health arrives after the boxing community had expressed condolences for the star in the aftermath of the terrible crash.
