Barça to Host Historic Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
