The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
An official for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
