The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.
His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts said.
